This article is about, How to Remove Auto ads from an area of your website: If you see an Auto ad in an area that doesn’t work for your site, you can use the ad settings preview to remove the ad from that area. No ads will show in this area from now on similar pages across your entire site. Auto ads will then move the ad to a position nearby.

Remove Auto ads from an area

  1. Sign in to your AdSense account.
  2. Click Ads Overview.
  3. In the table of all your sites, click Edit next to your site.
  4. In the ad settings preview, hover over the ad that you want to remove.
  5. Click Delete.
  6. Click Remove.
  7. Select your reason from the drop-down list. We’ll use this information to help improve Auto ads placement suggestions.
  8. Click Submit. No ads can now show in the area.
  9. Click Apply to site. It can take up to an hour for the new settings to be applied.

If a removed ad area can’t be found

Not all pages have the same ad areas. If you remove an ad area from one page, the same ad area might not be available when you navigate to another page on your site. When this happens, we’ll show you a message in the ad settings preview.

Show ads in an area again

  1. Sign in to your AdSense account.
  2. Click Ads Overview.
  3. In the table of all your sites, click Edit next to your site.
  4. Under “Site settings”, click Ad formats.
  5. Click Restore next to the area that you want to restore. Ads can now show again in the area.
  6. Click Apply to site It can take up to an hour for the new settings to be applied.
