Today and in this post, I’ll guide you to free activation method of the most famous Image compression and Optimization WordPress Plugin i.e. WP Smush Pro. Here are the steps:-

Step 1: Install and activate the Smush Image Compression and Optimization plug-in (if you ready have and installed, then you can skip this step) otherwise click here to download

After installation and activating WP Smush Pro Plugin, you will see the total number of images that you need to compress (optimized) and is the free version.

Step 2: To activate the Pro feature, you need to open the file /wp-content/plugins/wp-smushit/lib/class-wp-smush.php and find: if ( empty( $api_key ) )

This function returns false, so change to true.

Save this file.

If you feel any kind of difficulty to update /wp-content/plugins/wp-smushit/lib/class-wp-smush.php, you can download WP Smush it 2.7.8.1 WordPress plugin from here and upload and activate that file directly to your WordPress website. No need to edit the filedownloadNow click on BULK SMUSH and wait for the results.

PS: during use, if you see the message: It looks like Smush couldn’t verify your WPMU DEV membership so Pro features have been disabled for now. If you think this is an error, run a re-check or get in touch with our support team. It’s okay, still use normally.
