Installing and Setting Up WP Mail SMTP WordPress Plugin
To use the WP Mail SMTP, the first thing you need to install and activate is the WP Mail SMTP WordPress plugin.
When you activate the plugin, you’ll see the setup wizard. You have an option to or can simply skip the setup wizard as we’ll tell you, how to set up or configure the WP Mail SMTP plugin manually.
When you skip the process, the next thing you need is to visit the setting option.
Go to Settings » WP Mail SMTP option page to configure the plugin settings.
Here you need to enter your SMTP settings to use WP Mail SMTP.

- Return Path – Check this box if you want to receive delivery notifications or bounced messages.
The second part is to enter the details provided by your hosting company. Or if you continue to go with your host, then you would like to pick Other SMTP and enter the SMTP server settings provided by the hosting company.
- SMTP Host – this is the SMTP host address and provided by your web hosting company.
- Encryption – The encryption method employed by your mail server to send emails.
- SMTP Port – this is often the port employed by the outgoing mail server.
- Auto TLS – This setting should be set to On
- Authentication – Should be on
- SMTP Username – this is often usually the e-mail address you’re using to send emails
