Jio Gigafiber to be launched from Diwali

Reliance Jio will start its GigaFiber service from Diwali all over the country. Reliance has recently bought a stake in Den and Hathway. In such a situation, users of these companies will get the connection of the Jio GigaFiber very cheaply. Den and Hathaway are the biggest companies in cable TV business.

Have to spend only ₹500 for Jio GigaFiber

According to sources, the connections holders of Den and Hathway will have to spend only 500 rupees to get the GigaFiber connection. At the same time, other consumers have to pay ₹4500 for the security deposit to avail the connection.

Everything is free for the first three months in Jio GigaFiber

Reliance Jio had earlier said that those who take GigaFiber connections will get free for three months from the beginning. The company will deliver 100 GB data at 100 Mbps speed to each customer.

Plan varies from ₹500 – ₹1500

The company is going to launch 5 plans for customers. Its starting price will be ₹500 and maximum ₹1500. In all plans, DTH connections in free and you do not have to pay any kind of money. However, the number of channels may increase or decrease.

Impact on other companies

Tata Sky is the largest company in terms of market share in DTH companies. If you are a customer of Tata Sky and want to see all the channels (including HD) then you pay at least ₹800 rupees in a month.

Usually other DTH companies present in the market such as Airtel, Dish TV, Videocon D2H, Reliance Big TV and Sun Direct are some of the similar plans. In such a situation, these companies will have to make changes in their plans in order to remain competitive, so that the competition in the market continues.
